During the early stages, my perspective on drawing the lamp was very basic and limited. Over time as I drew more and explore new ideas of gesture drawing, my drawings started to take shape and resemble the object of interest more. It can also be seen that with time the gestures on the drawings started to get darker and thicker. During this period, I felt like it started to become a force of habit to draw darker lines and gestures over time. After the 3-minute drawing, the cylindrical head of the lamp started to finally take shape, and the cylindrical lines opened up more options to form the object.   Introduction Hello Everybody! My name is Long Xiong and my intended major is Mechanical Engineering.  I'm excited to learn about the basics of drawing along with the tips and tricks that help with drawing. The most memorable moment I've had with art was when I was able to draw a person and the drawing seemed like it had a little bit of life in it.  I prefer audio communication for critiques and evaluations of workpieces but I'm also open to other forms of communication as well.
