Between the 1-minute drawing and the 10-minute drawing, the 10-minute drawing is the strongest of the two. During the early stages, my perspective on drawing the lamp was very basic and limited. Over time as I drew more and explore new ideas of gesture drawing, my drawings started to take shape and resemble the object of interest more. It can also be seen that with time the gestures on the drawings started to get darker and thicker. During this period, I felt like it started to become a force of habit to draw darker lines and gestures over time. After the 3-minute drawing, the cylindrical head of the lamp started to finally take shape, and the cylindrical lines opened up more options to form the object. After the 10-minute drawing, I just felt like the shapes of the object was formed properly and similarly detailed from what I saw to what I drew.
The various approaches that I took with drawing the object came from exploring and experimenting with which gestures and lines meshed well together. As I explored which gestures and lines worked well, in the end, I polished up the drawings with this approach and I am satisfied with the end result.
